Dear Sirs,

The profile of our enterprise - JSC Dedal-NV - design, production and sales of night vision systems:

Night vision devices;
Night hunting scopes;
Night anti-fog systems;
Equipment for night-time photo and video shooting.

Our night vision systems are successfully used in amateur and professional activity, including:

Night-time surveillance;
Patrolling and guarding;
Rescue and search missions;
Hunting and animal watching;
Night photo and video shooting;
Navigational safety of ships.

     An enterprise Dedal-NV was created in 1991 (in the period of strong competition among 50 Russian enterprises that worked in night vision systems production) on the base of Russian state defence industry enterprise in the course of defence industry conversion. Using designing and production methods, unusual for Russia, in the course of 9 years we became known as producers of high quality night-vision systems in Russian and abroad. Almost 95% of our production is exported.
     Currently an enterprise produces more than 15 types of night vision devices and systems. From the moment of establishment an enterprise specializes on development of professional equipment, based on state-of-art image intensifier tubes gen. I+, II, II, III.
     We would like to note the following key factors that distinguish our devices from the competing Russian and foreign night vision systems:

Careful approach to optics design:

     For 9 years of work many optic models have been designed. Following the design the sample models were produced and picture quality was analysed, which enabled to evaluate optics quality that is needed for night vision equipment.
     Just one example: having the same technical characteristics, our objective 100mmF/1.5 weight twice less than any other Russian objective.
     Devices (Dedal-200, 300, 40m, 41, 470) use a special eyepiece with big eyepiece relief distance, designed both for comfort observance through a hunting scope and for work with photo and video-camera. Because of that night photography turns out to be as simple as day-time one. Pictures reflect the picture from image intensifier tube. Quality stays good not only in the centre of the picture, but near the margins as well.
     Our hunting scope day/night Dedal-NV-510 employs a specially designed optical scheme (23 lenses) that supports the 2-2.5 stronger light ratio, twice more wide vision range and total resolving in the whole range of electronic valve, differing it from competing foreign (American and Japanese) devices (11-13 lenses). The device has no analogues in Russia.

To electronics - employing in night vision devices Philin-32, Dedal-41, 40m (generation II) of an authentic self-designed power supply with capacity of 1-3 mA (which is 10-20 times less than any Russian or foreign analogues). Currently we produce our own power supplies for vacuum blocks of tubes ( gen. I+, II).
Constant employment of new materials. For example, we were the first in Russia who used integral polyurethane foam for producing of night vision scopes bodies (Dedal-110, 120). Such bodies are wear and hit-resistant they may be produced in different colours. We have worked out the technology of design and producing of details from strong moulded plastics.
Serial production of powerful infra-red illuminators. In 1992 our enterprise was the first in Russia to use eye-friendly effective infra-red diode lighter with capacity of 12 mW. Currently all night vision systems producers are using diode infra-red lighters with capacity of 10-20 mW. Our enterprise remains the leader in this field, equipping its devices with safe infra-red lighters with capacity of 75 mW. We also producer laser infra-red laser 200 mW.
Series of night hunting scopes (Dedal-140, 200, 300, 40, 40m) that bets all known Russian analogues in its weight and dimensions. For example, scope Dedal-200 weights just 670 grams, whereas competing analogues weight 1.5-2 times more.
All hunting scopes are tested on a shaker, in range shooting and pass 100% control on shock loads. Scopes construction enables them to survive extensive multiple shock loads (acceleration more than 530g, recoil with power of 6500 J (rifles calibres .375 H&H, .416Rigby)).
Our enterprise was one of the first in Russia who produced night-vision devices and scopes (Dedal-200, 220, 470, 510) on image intens.tubes gen. II and III. Combined with optics with extremely high light-ratio (with relative opening 1:1.0 and 1:1.2), such devices provide excellent vision and observance distance under conditions of extremely low light (night clouded sky with no artificial lighting).
Our enterprise was the first in Russia to produce compact anti-fog night-vision surveillance system working on active impulse. It is designed for surveillance and distance measurement in night-time, during fog, rain, snow, smoke - i.e. where other surveillance systems would have been difficult to use.
An expertise in production of high-quality night-vision systems enabled our company to be the first in Russia who satisfied professional camera-men and supplied TV company NTV with night video-system for TV equipment of "Betacam" standard.
