Dear Sirs, The profile of the activities of our enterprise JSC Dedal-NV is design, production and sale of night vision systems: night vision scopes, night sights, apparatus for night photography and video shooting. Our night systems are used successfully in amateur and professional activities, among them are the following: night observation, safeguarding objects, patrolling, rescuing and searching works, hunting and observing animals, night photography and video shooting, police/law enforcement, maritime navigation aid. The Dedal-NV company is established in 1991 on the basis of a state Russian defense enterprise in the frame of the conversion of the military production. Now we are well-known in Russia and abroad as producers of high quality night vision systems. At present our Company produces more than 16 items of devices and night vision systems. Among our achievements we would like to note: - In the first night vision device Filin-32 ( 2nd generation) an original power supply source was applied with power consumption 1-3 mA, thus it consumes power 10-20 times less than all existing home and foreign analogous (this power unit is the basis on which more perfect devices such as Dedal-40, 41 and 40m are produced now). - Our Company is for the first time in the world applied integral polyurethane for production of bodies for night vision devices (devices Dedal-110 and 120). These cases don't wear out and can't be scratched, soft and warm to the touch and can be produced in different colors. - Our Company is the first one in Russia substituted laser infrared illumination for LED (light-emitting IR diode) which is absolutely safe for eyesight. Two years later all Russian firms passed on to LED. At present we produce in Russia the most powerful (more than 35 mW) infrared diod illuminator. - Careful investigations in the field of optical calculations enabled us to produce devices with the perfect and original optics. Thus on our devices (Dedal-40, 40m, 41, 200, 300) is used an eyepiece with big eye relief distance that gives a possibility both for operation in sight (taking into consideration the presence of rubber eyecup) and for combined operation with SLR cameras and video. The night photographing proved to be not more complicated than taking usual photographing and received pictures practically fully transfer the image from image intensifier tube to the film without loss of quality of the image not only in the center but on the whole image field. - The devices are delivered both with Russian objectives of high quality and with special "night" optics. Night objectives of JSC Dedal-NV production are noted not only for their high quality but also for their very light weight: for example, six-lens objective 100mmF/1.5 (device Dedal-40m, 41) weighs in all 230 g. - We developed a series of night vision sights (Dedal-40, -40m, -300, -200), their technical characteristics out-perform the characteristics of all known Russian analogues. The main features of sights are as follows: light weight and small size. For example, the night vision sight Dedal-200 weighs in all 600 g, whereas analogues to the devices of competitors weigh 1.5-2 times more showing worse characteristics in all indices. The sights have different systems of fit on a weapon: systems of European and American standards and they can be mounted on a tripod. All sights tested on the rifles, the construction stands multiple impact loads which exceed 500 g. We have tested our scopes (and sights) and have received good responses by the PSDB (Police Scientific Development Branch, Great Britain) and other foreign companies. - Our Company is the first one among the Russian enterprises mastered the output of articles (scopes Dedal-110,-220 and sight Dedal-200) using image intensifier tube of "Karat" type (it won the recognition abroad as the generation I++ (or Super I+)). These image intensifier tube - the best ones in their class have amplification luminance factor 3.5 times more in comparison with the image intensifier tube of 1st generation. Resolution power and sharpness of the picture is 1.5 better and all these features ensure in the end the range observation up to 350-400 m at the cost two times less in comparison with the cost of devices of 2nd generation. The Dedal-200 night vision sight won the recognition of specialists as the optimal night vision sight for professional and amateur hunting. - By one of first in Russia our enterprise has let out scopes and sights (Dedal-220 and Dedal-200) on image intensifier tubes of generation II+, being on today by a limit of possible best European and American technologies of night vision of the second generation. In a combination with especially optics (with a relative aperture 1:1.0 and 1:1.2) such devices provide in conditions limiting low light exposure (night sky in clouds without additional illumination) excellent visibility and range of supervision in 1.5 times large, than night devices, competing in the Russian market. (At the request of the buyer we can be established in devices the image intensifier tube of the third generation with sensitivity of the photocathode min. 1000 mA/Lm.) - The experience of producing of night vision systems allowed our Company for the first time in Russia to meet the requirements of professional operators and to supply one of the leading Russian TV Company with night video system of the Betacam standard by keeping all opportunities of the standard.
